Emma Pilkington Wedding Photography

With a background in fashion photography and a love of all things vintage I have developed a very personal alternative wedding style. I love natural light, beautiful locations, and shooting on film.

I’ve been working with a camera since 2006 when I started to explore the world of fashion photography. I graduated in 2009 from Manchester Met with BA (hons) in Design & Art Direction, and fell in love with making beautiful images.

My approach to photographing a wedding is inspired by fashion editorials and reportage photography. I have an unobtrusive style of shooting and like to capture the special moments when they happen, without getting in the way or staging them. I like to shoot editorial style images with the bride and groom, to give you some truly unique images from your wedding day.

I enjoy working with natural light as much as possible, so the images of your special day look exactly how you remember them. I have successfully photographed a variety of different weddings, and couples have always appreciated my hands-off approach that lets me think creatively and deliver my version of their day as beautifully and as naturally as I can.

I’m based in Manchester, but I cover all of the UK and I also have a passport and am happy to travel!
